I help individuals with symptoms and behaviors arising from anxiety, depression, psychosis, obsessions & compulsions, traumatic experiences, addictions, Personality Disorders, low self-esteem, and anger. I also help individuals to cope with and problem-solve issues/situations that are causing stress in their life. I utilize a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy as my main therapeutic modalities. Individuals are taught to observe their thoughts, to identify personal patterns of maladaptive thinking, to systematically challenge their maladaptive thinking, and then to finally formulate more appropriate adaptive responses to events or problems. This approach allows for the modification of the faulty thoughts, evaluations, and beliefs that are the underlying cause for their psychological and behavioral disturbance(s). I am also trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR, and am certified as a Hypnotherapist by the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT).
